 Shirley Henderson is a self taught artist that has always loved drawing and painting since she could hold a pencil. The graphite pencil is such a simple drawing tool but it can produce such wonderful art.

Shirley has always loved drawing animals and has produced a number of pet portraits as commisions.

A member of the United Kingdom Colour Pencil Society Shirley regularly exhibits her Coloured Pencil art with the UKCPS. In 2008 Shirley started to produce drawings in graphite pencil. These drawings are of animals, wildlife and scenes from Scotland where Shirley  now lives with her husband and Border Collie dog Gem who is often used as a model.
